Briana Culberson found herself in the operation room earlier this week for a clavicle surgery that her husband Ryan said is “overdue.” The Real Housewives of Orange County star asked fans for thoughts and prayers for his wife before everything began on Wednesday, September 25.
Ryan, 36, shared an Instagram photo of Briana, 32, in a cheerful mood while she rested in her bed. The mother-of-two was dressed head to toe in hospital gear in preparation for the surgery.
“Please keep Briana in your thoughts and prayers today!” Ryan captioned the Instagram snap. “Clavicle surgery that has been way overdue.” He added hashtags #itsalwayssomething, #lastsurgeryhopefullyforever and #shecutetho to the post.
“Oh no, praying for a speedy recovery,” RHOC star Tamra Judge wrote in the comments section. “Sending love and prayers your way,” Gretchen Rossi also chimed in.
Briana’s mother, Vicki Gunvalson, also left kind words for her, writing “I love you my baby.” The “OG of the OC” shared a separate Instagram post about her youngest child on Wednesday, September 25, for National Daughter’s Day.
“Happy National Daughters Day,” she wrote next to a photo of them at the beach. “Thank you Briana for being such an incredible daughter and for giving me those 2 amazing grandsons. I ❤️ you!”
The mother-of-two has had a lengthy history of health problems that date back many years. Vicki, 57, revealed in 2018 that Briana came close to needing her leg amputated due to her complications with lupus.
"She has lupus. We almost lost her a couple years ago," Vicki said on The Daily Dish podcast. "That was one of the biggest fears I had in my life while I was filming. It's my 'Oh, my God' moment. And she was super, super sick. She got a very, very bad infectious disease from the hospital."
Things have gotten better for Briana over the past couple of months as she and Ryan have lost of 100 pounds thanks to the trendy Keto diet that other celebs like Vinny Guadagnino have endorsed.
Ryan claimed that she’s had no lupus flare ups since dropping all the weight. The couple have been bombarded with compliments over their skinnier figures on Instagram.
