PHOTOS‘RHOC’ Star Emily Simpson Claims Her Husband Is A Changed Man After Watching His Behavior On TV

Emily Simpson’s husband Shane Simpson is taking some time to reflect. The Real Housewives of Orange County star revealed that after Shane, 44, watched himself on episodes of the reality series, he became a changed man. He started stepping up his game as a husband and father after marital stress over the past couple of years.
In a tell-all chat with People TV’s Reality Check on October 1, Emily, 43, explained how Shane watching episodes of RHOC affected their marriage. “When you have the opportunity to watch yourself, sometimes the self-awareness that you get is just an entirely different perspective,” the reality star revealed.
Emily continued, “Shane really saw and heard everything everybody was saying and really took it to heart. He watched with the intent from learning from it, and he learned a lot,” she said. The RHOC star claimed there’s been a change in her husband since the reality series’ 14th season started airing in August.
The couple’s marriage has been rocky in the past couple of months. In August 2018, Emily opened up about going to therapy with her husband to save their marriage. While Shane was studying for the California bar exam, Emily reportedly felt neglected and alone. A major point of contention of their marriage was Emily joining the reality series in 2018 for the 13th season.

She also spoke about how RHOC caught the couple at a low point in their relationship. “We definitely started filming at a time when Shane and I were on a downward spiral. Not seeing eye-to-eye, not getting along very well. So what you see is pretty real,” Emily said, and called the experience “rough.” Emily said that Shane had a moment of self-realization and stepped up his game.
In the meantime, Emily confirmed on October 1 that Shane did not pass the bar exam. The husband and wife of 11 years also took a road trip to Utah with their kids in late September for a change of scenery.
Emily and Shane share three children, daughter Annabelle, and twin sons, Luke and Keller.
