Emily Simpson Stresses About Her Weight After She Overindulges In Hawaii

Emily Simpson has been an open book about her weight issues since she made her debut on Real Housewives of Orange County last year. Her struggles continued after she overindulged during a family vacation in Hawaii last week. She vented about the experience on her Instagram.

Emily, 42, shared some Instagram snaps of her getting in a good workout after returning from the lush island.

“I had a great time in #Hawaii with my babies, but I spent 6 days eating my kids leftovers (chicken fingers and French fries) and indulging on LOTS of lava flows,” she captioned the pics.

The mother-of-three also promoted her friend’s fitness routine that has helped her stay on the straight and narrow in the world of weight loss.

Emily recently blamed arthritis for the 25-pound weight gain that she’s experienced over the past year.

“Last year my arthritis got so severe (specifically my left hip) that I became really depressed and stopped working out period,” she wrote on Instagram. “It was painful to move, so I basically stopped moving at all.”

“Not a great idea,” she continued. “I gained 20-25 pounds over the past year and added more unnecessary weight to my hip ...which made it even harder to move and get around. It looks like a hip replacement is in my VERY near future.”

Emily said she’s lost 10 pounds so far but still has a way to go in her fitness journey.
