PHOTOS'RHOC' Star Emily Simpson Shares X-Ray Of New 'Bionic' Hip After Surgery
Emily Simpson is recovering from her brutal hip surgery slowly but surely. The Real Housewives of Orange County star shared update on her current health on her Instagram Stories on November 13 and revealed she was given a new hip following the procedure.
Emily, 43, took to her social media and posted a photo of her hip X-ray. "My new hip. I'm bionic!" she wrote below the photo. The X-ray showed a part of her pelvis being encased with a metal hip replacement from her surgery.
The Bravo personality underwent her hip replacement in late October. She was forced to fix her hip due to the immeasurable amount of pain she's been living with for months. Emily also suffered from arthritis and has no cartilage in her left hip.
Emily gave fans a peek at her recovery on November 10 when she shared a snap of her leg scar. The gash was bloody and full of stitches that ran up her mid thigh.
She also stepped out for the first time in public just days after her surgery for some much needed self care. On November 3, she shared details of her outing on her Instagram Stories and took in some pampering to help herself heal. Emily got herself a hydra facial treatment to refresh her skin. "My first time out of the house since surgery! About to get a facial," she wrote under a snapshot of her clear skin.
She also shared wth followers a closeup shot of her enflamed hip that was covered in a big bandage. "My left hip/area is swollen to the size of a tree trunk. I can't even get sweatpants over the swelling," she wrote underneath the photo.
However it looks like the mother of three has been getting better. Despite her pain, Emily showed up to film the RHOC season 14 reunion taping on November 8. Emily arrived in a wheelchair and stayed seated for most of filming to help her recover. She wore a gorgeous Old Hollywood inspired look and darkened her hair for the big night.
The lawyer reunited with her castmates Tamra Judge, Kelly Dodd, Shannon Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, and Braunwyn Windham-Burke. Emily sat next to Braunwyn and Kelly on the right side of the couch on set.
