'RHOC' Newbie Gina Kirschenheiter Explains Why Her Husband Won't Be On The Show

Gina Kirschenheiter, who is one of the two newbies on the 13th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, will no doubt be opening the doors to her private life on the Bravo drama. One part that will stay hidden, however, is her husband Matthew, who won't be making any sort of appearance on the popular reality show. So what gives?

Gina and lawyer Emily Simpson round out the two new members of RHOC's 13th season. They join veterans Kelly Dodd, Shannon Beador, Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge.

Although we will get a peek of her life "inside the gates", one aspect that won't be included is husband Matthew, who from earlier this month, citing irreconcilable differences. But that's not the reason why he's a no-show.

“His employer did not want him to,” she told Newsday. “It wasn’t a decision having anything to do with our relationship. Pure timing.” Matthew works as a financial planner.

Even though she and Matthew have split, it looks as if their friendship and bond with one another still remains very strong. "We’ve always been really good friends and realized we’re better as friends than as a married couple,” she shared. “We’re trying to be the most amazing parents still to our children. We’re always going to be a family, doing things as a family.”

Someone else who won't be appearing this season on RHOC is Vicki's daughter Briana Culberson, who has been part of the show since its premiere back in 2006. Several factors went into that decision, including her moving from Orange County all the way to North Carolina with her husband Ryan and their two sons.
