Tamra Judge is afraid her son Ryan Vieth is in a dark place. On the November 12 episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, the mother of four attended a therapy session with her 33-year-old son, and revealed that she worries about Ryan committing suicide. She also admitted that she feels at fault for his mental health struggles. When Tamra, 52, opened up to her husband Eddie Judge about her concerns, he appeared more unsympathetic to Ryan’s issues.

“He’s not in a good headspace and I hate to see him struggle,” Tamra said during the emotional therapy session. She added that she thinks Ryan is at “a point in his life when he’s just numb to life. When Ryan gets overloaded with things, he just kind of shuts down.”

“I think I have a lot of resentment growing up,” Ryan admitted during therapy. “I didn’t have the worst life, but the older I get, the more I see how my brother, my sisters are growing up, I think a bit of me inside is angry about it.”

Tamra said she blamed herself for Ryan's unresolved childhood issues. The Bravo star, who was still a teenager when she gave birth to him, felt that she didn’t give him the perfect childhood. “I carry guilt because I feel like I let him down,” she said. “I look at my kids now and the opportunities that they have. I have two kids in college now; Ryan, he ran out of the house at 18 because he couldn’t stand his stepdad.”

Ryan shared a list with his mom that he wrote with Dr. Sarno that noted how he felt. “I’m a bad person, worthless, I’m a failure, can’t succeed, powerless, I don’t belong, I don’t matter,” it said, which left Tamra heartbroken.

“It just makes me want to die,” she cried. “I struggled with depression, I was sad, I had no self-worth. To hear Ryan say that, it scares me. I worry that one day Ryan might commit suicide. That’s my biggest fear.”

The Bravo star expressed her concern to Eddie, 46, who told Tamra that Ryan should “do things to make him happy.” However, in a confessional clip, it appears that he felt otherwise.

“When you’re struggling with your childhood issues as a man, I don’t think you’re a man," Eddie said. “Just get over it, move on, grow up, take care of your responsibilities. That’s life.”
