According to court documents, the case was dismissed with prejudice, meaning that it cannot be refiled.

Back in 2019, Vicki and her insurance firm, Coto Insurance, was sued by Joan for breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and breach of contract. She also claimed that she paid increasing premiums and was not able to receive her benefits she was promised when her husband died.

Joan said that Vicki sold them a policy that she promised had an inclusion on the special provision “Lifetime Waive of All Premiums for a Surviving Spouse.” She also accused the mother of three of fraudulently and willfully misrepresenting her the policies.

Vicki's lawyer told The Blast at the time of the filing, "The claims alleged against Gunvalson are completely false. Gunvalson has always acted professionally and with the utmost truthfulness and integrity in every transaction that she acted as an insurance agent for her clients. She has never engaged in any fraudulent conduct nor misrepresented any terms of any policy. She vehemently denies the false allegations made against her in the lawsuit by Mrs. Lile. The claims made against Gunvalson are completely false and lack any merit whatsoever.”

Vicki was also entangled in lawsuits involving her ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers and former costar Kelly Dodd. The "OG of the O.C." sued her ex last year after he faked having cancer. She filed a suit against him over unpaid loans, breach of written agreement, breach of verbal agreement, fraud and misrepresentation.

In November 2019, Vicki filed a lawsuit against Kelly, 44, Bravo, and its parent company, NBC Universal. She sued over comments Kelly made about her while they were filming a RHOC episode in Florida.

"You prey on older people," was one of Kelly's comments. "You are a con woman," was another. Vicki was concerned over how the statements could negatively impact her insurance company. However, that same month, Vicki withdrew her suit against Kelly and had "resolved the issue amicably."
