Emotions were heavy for Vicki Gunvalson on Sunday, July 21. The Real Housewives of Orange County star broke down about the loss of her mother Joanne Steinmetz while visiting fiancé Steve Lodge’s mom Helga.

Vicki, 57, shared an Instagram photo of her out with Helga at the Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club.

“Had a great Sunday morning brunch at the Coto Club with @stevelodge_oc and his beautiful mother Helga,” she captioned. “My mom has been in heaven for over 4 years now and I miss her so much.”

“This wonderful lady (Steve’s mom) has been so good to me and has made me feel like family,” Vicki continued while adding the hashtags #blessed and #thankful.

Vicki’s mother Joanne suddenly died in 2015. She was part of RHOC since its debuted on Bravo in 2006.

“I have to say in ten seasons of watching you on the show, watching you get the news about your mom’s passing was absolutely the most devastating,” Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen told Vicki during their one-on-one interview in July 2015.

“I blacked out,” Vicki responded about that horrific night. “I don’t really remember that evening. I just couldn’t believe my mother was dead.”
