Teresa Giudice isn't happy with her estranged husband Joe Giudice. On the January 15 episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, the Bravo star complained that her four daughters — Gia, 19, Gabriella, 16, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 11, take their father's side during many arguments.
Teresa, 47, came to the realization after talking to Joe, 47, on the phone after he wished her a happy Mother's Day. During the time of filming, the Italian-born businessman was in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement while he fought to appeal his deportation order. During the call, Joe and the reality star ended up fighting over a necklace he had gifted her prior. The piece of jewelry had Teresa's name engraved on it.
The Skinny Italian author insisted that the necklace was similar to a silver one her daughters gave her for Mother’s Day. Teresa didn't remember getting Joe's present and refused to believe him when he claimed otherwise.
“You didn’t buy me a necklace with my name on it,” Teresa told Joe. “No. I would remember.”
“Years ago,” he replied. “You don’t remember anything. I bought you a lot of things. … My wife’s brain is going mush!” Milania defended her dad and told her mom that he did in fact give her the piece of jewelry. “He’s saying he did, so he did. You don’t remember anything, so you don’t! You have such a bad memory.” Teresa then told viewers in her confessional that the event made her feel hurt. “Today started out, beautiful day with my daughters but Joe always gets the girls to go against me. It hurts me tremendously. There should be no sides taken!”
In another scene, the Celebrity Apprentice alum complained to costar Dolores Catania about how her daughters always come to Joe's defense. “My kids, they take Joe’s side. Here I am busting my a** doing everything and then it’s like, he’s the greatest thing that walked the earth!” Joe and Teresa split in December 2019 after two decades of marriage. According to People at the time of the news, the estranged couple has "been separated.”
“They discussed their future when Teresa and the girls went to Italy in early November and they agreed that each had to move on. They are doing so amicably and very slowly,” a source told the publication. “Joe has been out on a few dates, Teresa has not. She has been too busy with the girls, with work obligations and taking care of her father. She is happy for Joe."
The insider continued, "They still love one another, but as Teresa told Andy Cohen on the Watch What Happens Live special, they are separated by the Atlantic Ocean. Neither is interested in a long distance relationship.”
