Rick Ross made an appearance on The View to promote his new memoir Hurricanes on Wednesday, September 4, and he was showered with love backstage by host Whoopi Goldberg.
Rick, 43, shared a photo of himself and the TV personality in a warm embrace to his Instagram account.
"@whoopigoldberg is really proud of me and my book #hurricanes. We shared a priceless moment today. It was an honor to meet her," he captioned the snapshot.
In his new book, the rapper detailed his scary addiction to codeine — a prescription opioid medication used for cough and pain relief — and revealed that his abuse of the drug led to a string of seizures.

In March 2018, he suffered such a severe seizure that he defecated in bed with a woman and ended up being hospitalized for four days.
Rick has since committed to a healthier lifestyle and he shared the lessons he's learned along the way on the daytime talk show.
"You learn you only have one life and nothing should be more valuable than the one life you have," he explained.
He added, "I learned I gotta rest and take my prescriptions from my doctor."
