Rumer Willis shared an unretouched photo of herself in a bikini as a way to raise money for the National Eating Disorders Association! The cause is near and dear to her heart as her younger sister Tallulah has opened up about her struggle in the past. Scroll for more details.
Rumer, 30, wore a high wasted yellow bikini for the mirror selfie. She wrote, “We all know it can be hard to reach acceptance and self love but it is so important.”
She continued, “It has been one of the greatest and most rewarding things I have done. I love the me I see when I look in the mirror.”
“I urge you all to take a step back and remind yourselves that we are beautiful no matter how we feel about our imperfections. They make us who we are,” the Dancing With The Stars alum urged her Instagram followers.
Rumer then revealed she’s partnered with Aerie and asked fans to share “an unretouched photo by tagging #AerieREAL.” As part of the campaign she informed her followers, “Aerie will donate $1 to @NEDA, the National Eating Disorders Association (up to $50K) #aeriepartner.”
Other famous figures participating in the no-retouch campaign include Busy Philipps, Jameela Jamil, Iskra Lawrence, and Aly Raisman.
Rumer’s sister Tallulah, 25, posted a candid Instagram caption in 2017 detailing her struggle to stay healthy after years of suffering from an eating disorder. The caption read in part, “I don't push any agenda, I can only speak for my path and staying sober has been far and beyond the most important thing I've done in my wee 23 years.”
