Sarah Palin’s husband Todd filed for divorce after 31 years of marriage. The Anchorage Superior Court clerk confirmed to RadarOnline.com that the oil field production operator filled out the initial divorce paperwork on September 6.

The former Alaskan governor has yet to respond to the divorce filing. Todd listed the reason for divorce as "incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife," Radar learned.
Sarah, 55, and Todd’s 31st wedding anniversary was on August 29. The couple began dating in high school.
The former couple was thrust into the spotlight when Sarah ran in the 2008 presidential election, following her position as the governor of Alaska.
The divorce filing was signed under the couple’s initials rather than their full names in an attempt on Todd’s behalf to keep the divorce confidential. The former first gentleman of Alaska’s lawyer asked the courts moving forward to keep the documentation sealed.
Sarah and Todd, 55, share five children together, Bristol, Track, Willow, Piper and Trig who is their only underage child. According to the divorce filing, Todd requested joint legal custody of their minor son.
The divorce filing comes just over a year since their son Track, 30, was arrested for domestic violence against his father in December 2017. Sarah was the one who called 911 to report the incident. Track plead guilty in the assault case in June 2018.
“Track (is) admitting he was the most serious aggravator – which means among criminal cases, this is the most serious,” District Attorney Rick Allen told Radar at the time. “This is typical when reducing a charge from burglary to trespassing.”
Sarah and Todd’s daughter Bristol has also had her share of marital drama in the past year. The former Teen Mom OG star finalized her divorce from Dakota Meyer in 2018. The mom-of-three shares daughters Sailor and Atlee with Dakota.
Sarah and Todd also expected to become grandparents again in December. Their daughter Willow, 25, is currently pregnant with twins.
Piper, who just began college, seems to be having a rough start to the semester. The 18-year-old shared a photo to her Instagram Story on September 8 of her dog alongside the caption, “Just rub my belly and it’ll be fine.”
