After originally dating from 2011-2014, Selena and Justin reconciled back in October. And since then they've been spotted packing on the PDA all over Los Angeles — attending church, going on steamy dates and even traveling on romantic getaways together!
But as OK! readers know the couple took a break from their on-and-off-again relationship back in March and now OK! has learned that the 25-year-old isn't missing her ex!
A source told Us Weekly that “Selena started seeing the bigger picture when it came to their relationship." They also added that the "Wolves" singer started to question what was more important: "her general happiness and her family and friends approval, or her being together with Justin, where no one really supported their relationship?”
“She obviously chose happiness and her friends and family and is so thrilled about her decision-making process,” the source continued. “She feels more empowered than ever and is looking forward to this next chapter.”
One person was not convinced that it was a good idea: Selena's mother, Mandy Teefey, who reportedly disagreed with her daughter over her decision to give Justin another chance and even unfollowed Selena on Instagram!
But now, the former Disney star is stronger than ever and is gearing up for the release of her new single, "Back 2 You" which will be released on Thursday May 10 and is rumored to be inspired by her relationship with the "Love Yourself" singer.
