Selena Gomez is making a statement with her latest outfit! While attending her album release party in New York City on Tuesday, January 14, the 27-year-old singer rocked a cute and comfy ensemble!
For the outing, Selena wore a black and white collared shirt with matching bottoms. She rocked white sneakers and hoops. The “Lose You To Love Me” artist pulled her hair into a ponytail and sported a bold burgundy lip. In several photos, Selena smiled from ear-to-ear as she exited the event.
On Friday, January 10, Selena dropped her 13-track project, RARE, which she labeled as her most “honest” music to date. “Can’t believe I’m revealing the art and title for my new album, RARE, out January 10th. It’s the most honest music I’ve ever made and I can’t wait for you to hear my heart,” she wrote to Instagram prior to releasing the album.
Although Selena has been promoting her body of work on Instagram, she confessed during a recent interview that she plans on taking a break from social media. “I got back on Instagram because I was releasing music, but I just told my best friend Courtney Lopez yesterday, I’m going to have to take it off my phone again soon,” she said.
The singer reasoned that social media has become “unhealthy” and “addictive” to her lifestyle. Over the years, the former Disney Channel star has spoken candidly about her struggles with mental health.
"I found out I do suffer from mental health issues. And, honestly, that was such a relief. I realized that there was a way to get help and to find people that you trust. I got on the right medication, and my life has been completely changed," she confessed in the WSJ Magazine's February Talents And Legends Issue.
In addition to the right medication, Selena spoke about the benefits of taking time to herself. "I need time by myself. I love going to my room at the end of the day. Just me and my dog. I got the full granny panties situation, stretched out in my bed," she joked.
