Mercedes "MJ" Javid shared an emotional tribute to her father Shams, who passed away one year ago today, February 28. The Shahs of Sunset star posted a throwback photo of her and her dad along with a lengthy and sentimental caption.
The pregnant reality star beautifully wrote, "A year ago today, his journey onto the after life began. He ran into the arms of his mother in heaven, as he skipped free, and unencumbered."
"He is definitely present in me every single day in my spirit, actions and words. I will always strive hard to possess his LOVE, compassion, generosity, bravery, intellect, street smarts and common sense. He was a do-er. I make it my legacy to help people the way he did," the 46-year-old continued.
She added, "People ask me how I coped with the greatest loss of my life and I want you who are going through something similar to know that I do it by accepting the new normal it and making him proud."
MJ ended the poetic post with the hashtags " #UntilWeMeetAgain" and "#MyEndlessLove."
The news of Mercedes' dad's death was documented on season seven of Shahs of Sunset. Shams passed away just a few weeks before she was set to tie the knot with now-husband Tommy Feight.
