OK! Exclusive: Shereé Whitfield Admits ‘It Was Fun’ Bonding With NeNe Leakes In Jamaica Amid Kandi Burruss' Questions About Their Rekindled Friendship

During Sunday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss questioned Shereé Whitfield and NeNe Leakes’ rediscovered friendship as her former bestie Phaedra Parks caught her up on all the drama that happened on the girls’ group trip to Jamaica. But while speaking to OKMagazine.com exclusively about the ladies' tropical vacation, Whitfield stressed that she had a great time with her castmates, including the trip's surprise guest, Leakes!

When it came to their cute moments together on the trip — including when they watched Kim Fields and the rest of their girls shoot Cynthia Bailey’s eyewear commercial — Whitfield said that the two have come a long way from their feuds of past RHOA seasons!

“It was a fun time overall to reconnect with NeNe and I was glad that we were able to let bygones be bygones in Jamaica,” she said.

She said it was a little "awkward" seeing Leakes in Jamaica after so much time apart. However, she added that it didn’t take long for them to warm back up to each other.

“We were friends before RHOA. And to go from knowing someone so intimately to not speaking for years then seeing them on vacation was a little awkward at first,” she said. “But once the air was cleared, we just got along great.”

Burruss — who has had her own run-ins with Leakes — explained on Sunday night’s episode that she couldn’t understand why Whitfield would be willing to be friends with Leakes again after all of their past issues and disses. But Whitfield told OKMagazine.com that the two have definitely grown a lot since those situations occurred!
