Steph and Ayesha Curry went on a celebratory date night on December 29 days after the athlete was named NBA Player of the Decade! The couple dressed casually for dinner and had a good time singing along to music.

“Y’all know I love a date night,” Ayesha, 30, wrote on her Instagram Story. The couple went out without their three children for some alone time.

The Family Feud star joked about wearing glam earrings that she got from Steph’s sister, Sydel, for Christmas, but was dressed down in sweatpants. The Golden State Warriors player also kept it casual in a sweatshirt, jean jacket, and a beanie.

The couple went out to dinner and Ayesha revealed the restaurant played Steph’s favorite songs by California rapper E-40. “They’re playing your banger,” the mom-of-three wrote. Steph, 31, and Ayesha continued to rap and dance along to E-40 in the car on their way home.

The dinner seemed to be a celebratory night out comes days after Steph was named the New York Times’ NBA Player of the Decade.

Steph hasn’t been playing since October 2019 after he suffered a wrist injury, but he’s been just as entertaining from the sidelines. At the Warriors game on December 28, Steph and his daughter Riley made headlines for showing off their very elaborate courtside handshake. The NBA shared the wholesome exchange on Twitter.

The NBA star was all smiles at Saturday’s game considering his latest title of NBA Player of the Decade. Steph was in consideration for the title alongside LeBron James. “It feels weird not to pick LeBron James here, what with him being the best player in the world and all, but Stephen Curry was the defining player of this decade,” NYT NBA editor Shauntel Lowe said on December 25.

He continued, “No one changed basketball the way he did, and no one captivated the world as he did. Suddenly, here was a player for whom there was no such thing as a bad shot. That’s not true for anyone besides Curry. He’s the one.”

In the past decade, Steph has broken records in the NBA and gained notoriety for his ability to make shots further out from the 3-point line. During his 2015-2016 season with the Warriors, the team had a record 73-wins which is the NBA’s highest number of wins per season. He also surpassed Ray Allen’s 2009-2010 season record of 269 3-pointers and scored 402 3-pointers in his 2015-2016 season with the Warriors.
