It means stuffing your face with junk food galore, belching out the words to Queen's "We Will Rock You" and plastering on colorful face paint. But before the family arrives to raid the fridge and takeover the couch, it may be best to brush up on all the facts on Super Bowl LIII. Maroon 5 is scheduled to rock the house down during the halftime show. They will headline the show and the pop band will be joined by a few special guests.
Big Boi of hip-hop duo Outkast and Travis Scott will accompany Maroon 5 on the stage and are sure to make the crowd go wild!
Gladys Knight will lend her voice to singing the National Anthem at the game.
The New England Patriots will challenge the Los Angeles Rams for the famed Vince Lombardi Trophy.
The NFL game has been met with much controversy after they allegedly blacklisted San Francisco 49ers player Colin Kaepernick. The cause of this was due to him protesting police brutality by kneeling during the national anthem before games.
This event caused several music artists to turn down offers to perform at the halftime show and to boycott the game. Rihanna and Cardi B have both turned down offers to sing a set at the show in support of Colin.
Amy Schumer also decided to avoid the football game by refusing to appear in ads while Harry Connick Jr. is boycotting it over a blown referee call.
Super Bowl 2019 is set to be played on February 3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
