Tamra Judge surprised fans when she appeared on Andy Cohen's Instagram Live on January 27 and revealed that several other cast members from the Bravo's the Real Housewives franchise are afraid they will be fired. The Real Housewives of Orange County star announced on January 25 that she will be leaving the series after 12 seasons.
Tamra, 52, told Andy, 51, in the video that fellow Housewives stars from other shows called her up and asked for advice. “Well of course I have heard from other Housewives,” the Cut Fitness CEO quipped.
“All the other OGs are shaking in their boots thinking that they’ll get fired, too! You know, Ramona Singer called me twice,” Tamra continued. The Real Housewives of New York star, 63, spoke to Tamra and said she couldn’t believe something this “crazy” was going down. “I told her, ‘You know what, 12 years has been a long ride. It’s a really, really long ride,'” Tamra told the Watch What Happens Live host.
The mother of four also revealed during the Instagram Live how she got the news she was leaving the long-running Bravo series. “I got the news when I was camping. I had no phone reception,” Tamra said. “I got a text message a couple hours before I left for my camping trip that I have a production meeting, that we’re going full force, I know you haven’t gotten your contract, so I thought, ‘OK, I’m good. I’m good right?’”
Tamra confirmed she was departing The Real Housewives of Orange County on Instagram. “It’s been a wild 12 years . But it’s time for me to move on. I'm sad to go but very excited about my future. Love ❤️you guys ✌?," she captioned a photo of herself and husband Eddie Judge.
An insider recently told RadarOnline.com that she quit the series because Bravo wanted her to take a salary cut. "She would go from $900,000 a season to $20,000 an episode for just three show appearances, which would add up to $60,000 total. It was humiliating. So Tamra walked away," the source explained.
Tamra announced she was leaving the show just hours after original castmate Vicki Gunvalson confirmed her own departure. Vicki, 57, exited RHOC after 14 seasons. "I will always be the OG of the OC, but it’s time to say goodbye to The Real Housewives of Orange County. It’s been an incredible ride for 14 years and I want thank all of you for your support, for your love and for 'whooping it up' with me along the way," she wrote on social media on January 24.
