Momma knows best! During a preview for an upcoming episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, Tamra Judge accompanied her son Ryan Vieth as he underwent a painful laser removal procedure. While still in the medical room, the Bravo celebrity finally voiced her concerns about Ryan’s behavior and she let him know that she has been worried about him for a while. Her son, who she shares with ex-husband Darren Vieth, went on a transphobic rant on social media and got into a fight about racism and politics with his brother.
In the clip, Ryan, 33, revealed that he wanted to begin the painful and tedious task of getting laser treatments to remove his tattoos. “The older I get, I kind of just want everything covered up,” he admitted.
Tamra, 52, isn’t a stranger to the procedure and she didn’t sugarcoat the road ahead. “I had my back lasered and it’s painful,” she told him.
During a confessional scene, the mom of four did a bit of motherly gloating. “I told Ryan this day would come,” she told the camera. “I said ‘You’re gonna regret some of this tattoos!’ I don’t know why kids can’t listen to their mothers!”
The show then cut to a few of Ryan’s more memorable tattoos including the word “nugget” on the inside of his lip and an ornate tattoo along his side. However, neither of those tattoos were the ones he decide to remove that day. Instead, he choose to begin removing a dollar sign he had inked high up on his neck and behind his ear.
After the grueling laser session, Tamra took the opportunity to clear the air. “I’m glad you’re getting those removed, because I’ve been worried about you but I haven’t reached out and been like, ‘Are you OK?’” she said.
“My life’s a little up and down lately,” he shared. Tamra responded, “You know I’m here if you need to talk.”
However, Ryan was hesitant to talk about his feelings and open up to his mom. “What pisses me off the most about my life is I never got the building blocks to life,” he said during a confessional.”No one ever help set me up for the future.”
“I’m learning to do feelings,” Tamra told him, urging him to speak candidly. “I don’t want you to end up like I did. It took me so long to be able to deal with my feelings.”
Ryan still wasn’t onboard. “You’re making me uncomfortable now,” he said. “Quit looking at me like I’m a weirdo.” Tamra responded, “I’m just a little worried about you lately.”
“I think that Ryan wanting to remove some of these tattoos is a sign of growth. But I can see that he really needs help,” she told the cameras before encouraging him to “put himself out there.”
