As it turns out, lots of people are in fact scared of ghosts, so much so that they’ve passed out at the sight of them on Netflix’s frightening new series, The Haunting of Hill House. Read on for the latest.

Just in time for Halloween, Netflix has unveiled The Haunting of Hill House, and it's described as one of the scariest shows viewers have seen. Flashing back and forth in time, the series tells the story of a single family wracked with trauma and horror stemming from their terrifying experiences growing up in the eponymous home.

The cast includes Sin City actress Carla Gugino as the matriarch of the family, as well as Timothy Hutton, who plays her husband, and E.T. actor Henry Thomas.

And apparently audiences haven’t been able to handle what happens! Someone on twitter even wrote, “The Haunting of Hill House on @NetflixUK is one of the most terrifying, nail biting, hide behind the couch, don’t even breath, I’m going to pass out from fear things I have ever watched. In. My. Life.”
