Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have asked for donations to charity in lieu of wedding gifts, but one person ignored that request — Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. Instead, the royal monarch opted to give her grandson and his new wife a house!

According to Metro, the Queen gave the newlyweds the country home of York Cottage, which is located on the grounds of Sandringham Estate. The property is the same spot where the Queen spends Christmas with her royal relatives each year.

Meghan and Harry are already used to royal living. The couple currently resides in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace in London.

York Cottage was previously inhabited by the Queen’s parents, King George V and Queen Mary, and resembles “three Merrie England pubs joined together.”

This isn’t the first time the Queen has given away a Sandringham Estate home as a wedding gift. She gave Prince William and Meghan Markle Anmer Hall after their 2011 wedding.

The couple lived there for the first few years of their marriage, and Prince George even attended a Norfolk nursery school nearby. They’ve since moved to Kensington Palace.
