Adrienne Bailon opened up on January 27 about what it was like when her husband Israel Houghton ran into her ex-fiancé Lenny Santiago. The Real cohost got engaged to the ROC Nation executive after six years of dating and called off the engagement just seven months later.
The Real cohosts discussed Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty’s run-in with her ex Meek Mill on January 24, which ended in a verbal altercation. “Running into your ex can easily ruin your day,” Jeannie Mai said. “You can feel the awkwardness and we all know what it is like to run into your ex.”
Adrienne, 36, cut in and said, “You keep saying that. I feel like if it ended really bad or there’s beef there, then it might be uncomfortable. But if it's not, then it shouldn't be."
“My husband has absolutely seen my ex, and they are very cordial to each other and very mature,” she added. “It just takes maturity to be kind and cordial.”
While Adrienne did not specifically name Lenny, 49, she was presumably referring to the 49-year-old, who works in the music industry along with her husband. They dated for six years before getting engaged in February 2015. The Masked Singer star and the ROC Nation executive called off the engagement in September 2015.

“I am, of course, sad that things didn’t go as we planned, but we still remain close friends. Six years is a long time to be together, but we had to make the decision to go with our hearts and not be embarrassed or afraid of change,” Adrienne told Us Weekly at the time. “He absolutely helped make me a better person and I will forever cherish the time we shared together.”
Months later, Adrienne went public with Israel, 48, in April 2016 and they got married in November 2016. The Christian singer announced he was divorced from his ex-wife Meleasa just a month before going public with The Real co-host, which caused a stir of cheating rumors.
Adrienne opened up about that time during an episode of The Real in October 2019. “When I first started dating my husband, people thought he was married,” she said. The Real host revealed she confronted Israel to see the paperwork of when he and Meleasa filed for divorce. The Christian singer and his ex-wife had been divorced for a few months before he announced it.
