Ellen DeGeneres couldn’t host the May 23 episode of her show, so her DJ Steven "tWitch" Boss filled in for her and he asked Loni Love to guest DJ! The Real host brought along her boyfriend, James Welsh, as an extra surprise. Scroll down for more details.
Loni, 47, praised the Ellen DeGeneres Show crew on Instagram and wrote, “Thanks again to everyone at @theellenshow for having me back to drink behind the DJ booth with my new wig.... you rocked it @sir_twitch_alot !!!”
During the episode, tWitch, 36, inquired about Loni’s boyfriend James, 54. She told him, “We met online and I think he might be here in the audience!”
tWitch then embarrassed Loni with a video of James dancing during a past vacation. The Real host shared the very same video during the “Girl Chat” segment on January 31. At the time she roasted James and said, “I just gave up after that.”
James stood up and got an applause. Loni jokingly quipped, “Sit down, James. Sit down that’s enough.”
The cameras panned over to her boyfriend posing as an audience member and she proudly said, “Everybody say ‘hi’ to James!”
Despite being mortified by James’ dance moves, Loni isn’t afraid to show off her new man on air. He first appeared on The Real on May 17 for a special couple’s episode. “You did a fabulous job sweetie,” she wrote on Instagram after the episode aired.
