Loni Love needed a nudge to make her relationship with her boyfriend James Welsh public. On the April 22 episode, the Real co-host explained that she was happy to keep her love life under wraps.
“He asked me to go public,” Loni, 47, said.
She also admitted that she and James didn’t expect the overwhelming amount of support they have received. “I didn't think it would catch on like this,” she said before adding, “I appreciate that."
Loni’s comments come just days after she spoke candidly about the start of her relationship with People.
The two hit it off on a dating site, but after their initial contact, there was a lull in the conversation and they didn’t speak again until two weeks later.
However, even in the fast-paced world of online dating, Loni decided to give James another chance.
"I liked him," she recalled. "He asked me out on a date and he explained that he was working because he has a painting business, and he just got caught up and got busy," she recalled.
