The mother of two opened up about her postpartum fitness journey back in October and revealed she endured a few struggles after welcoming her youngest child. “Checking in. #17months post pregnant. I did it my way and in my time,” the Family Reunion lead captioned a snap of herself sporting workout gear at the time.

“Many women feel the need to #snapback right away after they deliver,” the German-born actress continued. “That was never the goal for me. I was called #fat during my #pregnancy and I was called #fat after my #pregnancy." She added, "Why do we do this to each other? Instead of #love one another other? I will never understand that. I intentionally documented my journey and became vulnerable to show #women that it’s okay to go at your own pace, it is okay to love yourself no matter where you are in your journey.”

“Do not fold to societal pressures,” Tia added. “After hard work with just diet and exercise, today I’m closer to my goal. Do I have loose skin and stretch marks? YES. Guess what?? I LOVE all me and I want you to love all of you too.”

Tia got candid again about motherhood in Romper’s holiday issue. “When I knew that I had postpartum depression … I didn’t want to admit it,” she said. “It was that shame. I told my sister about it. I told my husband about it, and I told my friends about it. They became my support system. So, when I was sad or going through my emotions, I would talk about it. I didn’t suppress them. I think that helped.”
