PHOTOSNFL Alum Tiki Barber Joins Cast Of ‘Kinky Boots’

Former NFL star TIki Barber will be going from the field to the stage next month, as he is joining the cast of the Tony-winning musical Kinky Boots. Read on for all the details.
Tiki will step into the role of Don beginning January 21st of next year. It’s his first time stepping stage on The Great White Way.
Fans of the football legend will have to get tickets ASAP as he is only going to be performing in Kinky Boots until March 3rd.
“I am so excited to be making my Broadway debut in Kinky Boots,” he said in a statement. “I was very fortunate to be part of the New York Giants for ten years and feel incredibly lucky to be joining another New York institution: Broadway.”
A promotional shot of him in the show’s legendary thigh-high red boots was just released (see here), where Tiki looked ecstatic to be wearing them.
Kinky Boots made its debut on Broadway back in 2013. The show, with music and lyrics written by legendary pop star Cyndi Lauper, became a smash hit that year, winning several Tony awards including Best Musical.
One of the show’s stars, Billy Porter, took home Best Actor in a Musical as well. He just scored a Golden Globe nomination for his performance on the F/X series Pose.
