Tim McGraw has been getting a lot of attention for his shirtless photos on Instagram, but he confessed there was a time that he wasn’t taking care of himself! The “Humble and Kind” singer dished on his journey to fitness at CMA Fest on June 8.
“Here's the truth of it. I was not taking care of myself. I was leaning on the success that I've had,” Tim, 52, exclusively told ET Online.
He continued, "My family is counting on me. I want to see my kids grow up, I want to be able to spend time with my grandkids. I want to take them diving and spearfishing, all those things that I want to do with my grandkids."
Tim spends a lot of time spearfishing, which he’s boasted about on his Instagram. The shirtless photos he's posted while enjoying the sport have earned him a few thirsty comments.
He explained, "We spent a lot of time in the Bahamas and my kids grew up down there. Spearfishing is one of my passions.”
Tim jokingly said, “I love doing that and so, really the music thing is secondary for me. I just want to be in shape so I can do spearfishing and dive deep.”
The Songs Of America author took his fitness goals to the next level in January when he opened a gym with Very Cavallari star Wirth Campbell.
