Trina Braxton is officially a married woman! On Sunday, December 15, the singer and her husband Von Scales tied the knot in a breathtaking ceremony in St. Louis, Missouri.
In the photos, the 45-year-old stunned in a Naama & Anat Haute Couture custom dress and accessorized with diamond earrings. She pulled her hair into a bun and wore minimal makeup. As for Von, he wore a light-grey suit, which was designed by Cedric Cobb. To add a pop of color, the 51-year-old rocked a yellow tie alongside a white button-down shirt.
During a conversation with PEOPLE, the Braxton Family Values star revealed that her wedding day was worthwhile. “Our wedding day was unpredictable and amazing. Our personalities shined through and it was a great example of our relationship. Simple elegance, but all about celebrating with family and friends. It was perfect for us,” she explained. “I’m married to an amazing man, and our night was about displaying our love for each other amongst our loved ones and including our loved ones and blending our families. Who could ask for anything more?!”
“It was very difficult, and it was definitely untimely,” Trina admitted during a conversation with Essence regarding Gabe’s passing.
“Sometimes when you are close with your ex, your current partner doesn’t understand how you can still have a friendship…especially when they’ve seen the tough times via television. Von had his moments of support. For him it was difficult to watch his significant other grieve over their ex, but it was more than that because he was my friend.”
In March 2019, Von popped the question to Trina after dating about a year. Next year, fans will have the opportunity to watch the couple’s wedding ceremony as it is set to air on an upcoming episode of Braxton Family Values.
