Tyrese Gibson will soon be a father-of-two! The Fast & Furious star told People that he and his wife, Samantha, are expecting a baby girl! “Both of our love and energy and magic and families are bonded forever because we’re going to have this child,” the couple, who tied the knot on Valentine’s Day in 2017, told the mag. “It’s unbelievable.”

The 29-year-old social worker and 39-year-old actor learned they were expecting in late January. “It was me screaming and just being overly excited and just fired up about the news,” the actor said of his reaction to finding out his wife was pregnant.
The two revealed the big news to their families with a fake movie trailer, narrated by Tyrese, that transitioned into footage of Samantha’s ultrasound.
While the first-time mom is only in her second trimester, due in September, Samantha is already in “full practicing mode.” The mom-to-be confessed that she’s been getting in good practice time with her stepdaughter, Shayla, 10, whom she considers her own.
As OK! readers’ know, Tyrese was involved in a bitter custody battle last year with his ex-wife, Norma Mitchell, which led him to have an online meltdown. He was also investigated by child services after his ex claimed he abused their daughter. “Unfortunately, as entertainers and public figures, you have to go through very private matters publicly sometimes,” Tyrese told People. “I’m just happy to be on the other side of it and have my daughter back home with us.”
Samantha added: “We were able to conceive at the right time, I believe. … There was a lot that happened last year – everyone is aware of that – and so to have the opportunity … really start a new chapter in the way that has happened, I just look to God and I’m like, ‘Wow, I can’t believe that you would plan it this way and you do it so perfectly.’”
