What would The Real Housewives of Orange County look like without the "OG of the O.C." herself, Vicki Gunvalson? The reality star hinted that she may be headed towards retirement in a recent Instagram post.
Vicki, 57, shared a snap of herself and fiancé Steve Lodge snuggling up together over a bottle of wine. "Date night with my fiance @stevelodge_oc . ❤️??," the Bravo celeb captioned the cute photo. The couple were on vacation together in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Fans asked in the comment section if the Coto Insurance CEO was headed towards a new way of life. “Lookin like retirement,” one fan wrote in the comments. “Pretty soon,” Vicki replied.
“Is it true you are not coming back?” another added, referring to RHOC. “No truth to that. I don’t know yet,” Vicki responded. The news of Vicki's possible retirement comes after news that the rest of her RHOC cast — Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Kelly Dodd — are patiently waiting for confirmation about their season 15 return.
Andy Cohen told Jeff Lewis back in December 2019 on his radio show big changes were coming to RHOC for the upcoming season. A source told HollywoodLife.com at the time, “Andy’s comments made them all nervous and they were told awhile ago a cast shake-up was coming. All of the ladies of RHOC are saying they’re confident they’re coming back, but nobody knows for certain.”
“They will be notified in a few weeks but nobody knows who’s in and who’s out quite yet,” the source continued. Season 15 is currently in production and is set to star filming in the next upcoming months.
The insider added, “The reunion just ended so it will be looked at in the new year but they’re always interviewing new ladies and they’ve got their eye on a couple, it’s just still too early to tell what’s exactly happening. Everyone’s just waiting though some of the ladies have been asked to film things in their lives here and there since filming wrapped officially just in case they are asked back."
Vicki infamously threw a major tantrum backstage at The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion. She had been reduced to the role of a friend of the show on season 14 after being a main cast member since season one.
