Josh Duggar cannot escape his past! According to , the former 19 Kids & Counting star’s connection to the cheating website Ashley Madison, in which he used a stranger’s identity as his profile picture, hasn’t been forgotten. According to court documents obtained by Radar, the owners of the controversial adultery website have been dragged into the lawsuit filed by Matthew McCarthy — the stranger whose identity Josh is accused of stealing for his accounts on multiple social/dating sites, including Ashley Madison, OkCupid and Twitter.
Legal papers, filed on June 7, have revealed that the Ashley Madison owners have been subpoenaed to testify on Duggar’s dating profile — and his attempts to solicit dates from individuals outside Arkansas, where he lives.
As OK! readers’ know, the Los-Angeles based DJ, Matthew, claims that as a result of his stolen identity, he suffered “anxiety, depression, embarrassment, humiliation, loss of self-esteem and extreme and severe mental anguish and emotional distress” relating to the incident.

Additionally, Matthew contends that being connected to an accused child molester and adulterer would be highly offensive to any reasonable person, Radar previously reported. He is seeking damages in excess of $25,000 — although the number could go higher.
As previously reported, Josh’s picture perfect image was shattered back in 2015, when an uncovered police report exposed that the reality star was accused of molesting five family members, including at least two of his own sisters, as a teen. Later that same year, Josh admitted to having an account on the affair website Ashley Madison and cheating on his wife, Anna. After Josh’s double life was exposed, Matthew sued him in August 2016.
