Kevin Hunter is asking his wife Wendy Williams for forgiveness. Days after the talk show host reportedly 'confronted' him about his alleged cheating subsequently filed for divorce, Kevin is trying to make amends. He issued a public apology taking responsibility for his actions.
“28 years ago I met an amazing woman: Wendy Williams," his statement began. "At the time, I didn’t realize that she would not only become my wife, but would also change the face of entertainment and the world."
"I have dedicated most of our lives to the business empire that is Wendy Williams Hunter, a person that I truly love and respect unconditionally," he continued.
“I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans," he said. "I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs.”
He ended the statement vowing to support Wendy in her career and on her path of sobriety, "no matter what the outcome is or what the future holds."

A source told People the alleged birth of Kevin's child with his mistress was the catalyst for Wendy's divorce filing.
The insider claimed the former radio DJ even took matters into her own hands. “She had hired a private investigator and confronted him. He confessed to everything three weeks ago.”
On Monday, April 15, Wendy told her talk show audience she would be moving out of her sober house and striking out “on her own.” Though she called the house one the of “best things” to happen to her, she said has a “whole new life planned” for her and son, Kevin Jr.
The source claimed that her husband's infidelity was a factor in her falling off the wagon. “All of the recent drama put a huge strain on Wendy and caused her to struggle with her sobriety as she did everything she could to try and save their marriage,” the insider said.
“The decision to split was terribly hard for her, but she’s regaining her health,” the source added. “She decided she needed to finally put herself first.”
