Wendy Williams let loose in Los Angeles after being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! The talk show host went out to Mr. Chow with a few friends to celebrate her latest accomplishment.
Although she was emotional during her ceremony in honor of her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Wendy and her friends couldn’t stop laughing outside Mr. Chow.
Wendy got glammed up in a long black gown with a thigh-high slit and accessorized with diamond jewelry and a black handbag that had a silver star chain clip. The talk show host kept it casual with her footwear and wore Nike sneakers.
Wendy posed for pictures and welcomed the attention following her big day.
During the induction ceremony, the Wendy Williams Show host reflected on her start from a radio host to a talk show host. “My fans! Listen, I slipped and called you fans only because I'm in Hollywood and I think I've gone Hollywood, but you're not fans. That's a stupid word. I've always called you Wendy Watchers," she said. "When you listened on the radio, I told you I love you for listening and now I tell you I love you for watching.”
She added, “You are Wendy watchers and without you, none of this would be going on.”
Wendy also addressed “the elephant in the room” which has been her split from Kevin Hunter after he fathered another child and her sober house stay earlier in the year. “I've been having a very, very tough year but, slowly but surely, I'm climbing out of the pit and this is one of those monumental days that makes me say, you know, if you don't believe in yourself who will believe in you?" she told the audience. "Sometimes life is a very lonely path and you've got to make some hard decisions."
The host teared up as she discussed her relationship with her son Kevin Jr and said, “You know there's no place like home right. A little burning food in the oven, time to run up to the grocery store, let's go. Just mom. Thank you, Kevin.”
