David Foster and Katharine McPhee may be basking in the glow of their engagement, but one person isn’t thrilled by the news: David’s ex Yolanda Hadid. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star thinks her ex-husband’s new fiancée is too young for him!
“She was initially upset by the engagement. It’s unacceptable and she thinks he’s way too old for her,” an insider told RadarOnline.com exclusively. David is 68 while Katharine is half his age at 34.
And while many were shocked when the two confirmed their engagement, Yolanda “suspected something was going on with Katharine all along” throughout her six-year marriage to David.
“She was threatened by their chemistry,” the source told Radar. “They were more than flirty. She wanted David to be honest and he kept denying it. She was upset at him, not Katharine.”

David and Katharine have been friends for years. The two first met when David appeared on season 5 of American Idol as a mentor in 2006. Katharine was a contestant at the time.
An insider tells Radar that the pair will not have a prenup. This will be the songwriter’s fifth marriage and Katharine’s second.
