A new chapter! Katie Maloney revealed Vanderpump Rules won't be the same without her pals Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute after they were fired earlier this year for their racist remarks.

"I try to picture and think about it, and it's so weird," the 33-year-old told Entertainment Tonight in September. "It's weird. Yes, it's definitely gonna feel different and look different, but it's not like they're not a part of my life, you know? So, it's gonna be weird to have this part of my life that was very much on the show not on the show anymore."

At the moment, Maloney is not sure how the producers will address that Schroeder and Doute are no longer part of the show. "We'll cross that bridge when we get there," she noted.

The Bravo show hasn't started filming season 9 yet, but the brunette beauty is optimistic that things will be up and running sooner than later. "Every day, I'm thinking, 'Maybe today we'll get the phone call!'" she confessed. "I'm hopeful. They haven't canceled it, so there's hope still. At least there's not, like, anything definitive in that regard."

The reality show is in limbo right now since Vanderpump Rules takes place at Lisa Vanderpump's iconic restaurants, SUR and PUMP, which are currently closed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. While other Bravo shows are starting to film, it seems like the crew hasn't figured out how they would implement health and safety restrictions just yet. Additionally, since the cast is made up of nearly 20 people, it's hard to film group scenes in general.

After Schroeder, Doute, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni were axed from VPR, they all apologized for their previous actions, but unfortunately, it was too little too late.

As for how Schroeder — who is pregnant and expecting her first child with fiancé Beau Clark — and Doute are doing these days, Maloney said they're moving onto bigger and better things. "I think they're just trying to focus on the future and what that looks like for them, trying to stay positive and not look back," she shared. "Look forward and do all the work we're all doing. … They're taking it in stride and definitely holding themselves accountable."
