A Royal Snub! Meghan Markle Left Out Of Prince Harry's Birthday Tributes

On Tuesday, September 15, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles and Queen Elizabeth II all took to social media to mark Prince Harry’s 36th birthday — but left out Harry's wife, Meghan Markle.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge uploaded a throwback photo of themselves from 2017, where they were seen running on a track alongside Harry.

"Wishing a very happy birthday to Prince Harry today! ??, " they captioned the adorable snap.

Harry's father and The Duchess of Cornwall shared a solo shot of the red-headed royal via the official Clarence House account.

"Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duke of Sussex today! ?" they wrote, using Harry's official royal title.

Queen Elizabeth II echoed the same message, sharing a photo of Harry smiling from ear-to-ear at the Queen's Young Leaders reception at Buckingham Palace, which took place in 2017.

Fans couldn't help but point out that Markle, 39, was noticeably absent from all the pictures. "The shade of them using this pic rather than one including his wife

," one person wrote alongside a photo of William, Harry and Kate.

"There must have been hundreds of photos you could have picked, but you chose to post one of Harry, William and Kate. I’m sure not including Meghan wasn’t unintentional," another person commented.

"Another without Meghan," a third user pointed out regarding the queen's choice of photo.

It comes as no surprise that the Suits alum was left out of the royal well wishes. The California native has reportedly clashed with many members of the her husband's royal family since the two started dating in 2016.

Princess Diana's youngest son and the former actress got married on May 19, 2018, in a lavish royal wedding at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle and welcomed son Archie the following year.

The royal family continued to butt heads with the modern couple, and on January 8, Markle and Harry announced they would be stepping back as "senior members" of the British royal family. The pair announced they would be splitting their time between the United Kingdom and North America and wanted to become financially independent. The event was dubbed "Megxit."

On January 18, an agreement was announced, which said the couple would "no longer be working members of Britain's royal family" and would not use their "Royal Highness" styles.

The couple initially moved to Los Angeles before settling into a $14.65 million home in Santa Barbara, California, over the summer and reportedly have plans to stay for good.

"This is their permanent home," a source told PEOPLE. "For the first time in a long time, they have a clear focus. They both love California, and Santa Barbara has a magic to it — the mountains, oceans, vineyards, flowers, gardens. It’s so beautiful."
