Last night was the night! The awards-show season kicked off for real with the 71st annual Golden Globes, and Ashley Madekwe was there to celebrate with all the A-listers. See what her stylist picked!

Ashley attended the Golden Globe party thrown by InStyle and Warner Brothers. She wore a bright, happy neon color-blocked dress, which seemed just right for her typically youthful, fresh look. The dress was a Roksanda Ilicnic spring 2014 netaporter.com exclusive gown, which was made in collaboration with The Albers Foundation. She accessorized with an Alexander McQueen clutch, Saint Laurent stilettos, Baublebar earcuff, and a David Yurman cocktail ring.

Her stylist Joey Tierney explained her inspiration. "Ashley and I like to push the style envelope and this gown was no exception," she said. "This gown was inspired by the painting of Josef Albers and a nice contrast to the expected beads and sequins."

The designer Roksanda Illinic also commented on the dress. "The paintings of artist Josef Albers have been a great inspiration to my work," she said. "Echoing his bold use of color, this striking gown has been created in collaboration with The Albers Foundation and is crafted from bright-orange, acid-yellow and shocking-pink double wool crepe." Gorgeous!
