Carrie Bradshaw without a report-worthy wardrobe could never be justified. After all, if The Carrie Diaries character (played by AnnaSophia Robb) with the gorgeous blonde tendrils was calling the Big Apple her humble abode all summer long, chances are she'd make time for a shopping trip or two—or as Sarah Jessica Parker enthusiastically put it in SATC, a session of cardio. We caught up with costume designer Eric Daman, the genius of a man behind Carrie's (and now the new Samantha's) wardrobe and got the scoop on what's happening this season!
OK! Magazine: How will this season will be different than the last?
Eric Daman: The highly anticipated introduction of Samantha Jones, of course! Fans will get to witness how Carrie and Samantha's legendary friendship was ignited. Stylistically, Carrie has a style evolution. After spending a summer in the city and hanging out with new BFF Samantha, she will be much more adventurous and fashion-forward. Her look will definitely be more editorial, and she will be influenced by Sam's sexuality and experiment with body-con silhouettes, cutouts and sheer tops—all very 80s but very right now as well!

OK!: Were you ever able to dip into the actual SATC fashion archives to use pieces Carrie or Samantha actually wore?
ED: Sadly no, but there are some fashion treats aka "Easter Eggs" that SATC fans will love that harken the iconic SATC style.
OK!: Which designers will you be using?
ED: Carrie is loving Mara Hoffman, Marc Jacobs, Nasty Gal, Clover Canyon, Kate Spade, and Alice + Olivia while Samantha is very BeBe, Guess, combined with Versace, Sachin and Babi, and Rodarte.
OK!: What are some Halloween costume ideas and DIY tips to be SATC characters?
ED: A pink scoop-neck top, crinoline skirt, and a giant flower pin are an easy 1,2,3 recipe for an SJP or Carrie Bradshaw costume.

OK!: What’s the funniest or most memorable thing that's happened in the wardrobe trailer with one of the cast members?
ED: Fitting Lindsey Gort Samantha in an endless array of "naked" outfits and network-approved lingerie is the gift that keeps on giving this season. Samantha likes to let it all hang out and coming up with inventive ways of covering up her naughty bits and making it all very PG-13 has actually been quite a hoot this season!
OK!: What was your favorite outfit of last season?
ED: Carrie's pink and black polka dot Scaasi party dress and "Carrie" bag marking her first night out in Manhattan!

OK!: Are there any characters that will surprise us style wise?
ED: Larissa is always full of surprises, especially when she returns from Japan and is channeling Zen.
OK!: Is there a particular designer that AnnaSophia tends to like to wear a lot on the show?
ED: We try to keep it mixed up but ASR and Carrie both love Topshop.
