Becca Kufrin’s ‘Bachelorette’ Frontrunner Admits He Dated Her Friend Tia Booth Before Coming On The Show
Colton, Colton, Colton -- he’s just full of surprises!
On Monday night’s episode of The Bachelorette, fan favorite Colton Underwood dropped a major bomb about one of his (seemingly many) famous exes (he previously dated Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman).
While on the second half of a group date, Colton told Becca Kufrin he had a confession to make.
He then went on to admit he had a relationship with her friend and fellow Bachelor star Tia Booth (the two competed for Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s heart last season) just before coming on the show.
“We had a weekend together and we had a good time, but for me the timing wasn’t right to grow what was a spark into a flame,” he confessed. “If my feelings were strong enough, I wouldn’t have came on the show. I think that from what I know of you, we could build something awesome. We could have the time. Whereas it wasn’t there, moving forward, with her.”
During his confession, Colton admitted that his and Tia’s sparked-filled weekend occurred in January, just two months before filming for The Bachelorette began, leaving Becca more confused than ever.
“I’m not going to lie — I don’t know how I feel about it,” she responded. “It makes me feel a little bit sick. I’m very attracted to you, I really like where our conversation was on night one and I feel like we had a lot in common, but it’s a very tricky situation. It puts me in a very strange position. It’s just a lot to take in right now.”
Becca later told the cameras that the Colton situation really affected her. So much so, she decided to speak to him again during the rose ceremony, admitting she was torn about how to move forward.
“I feel like I see something in you that I’m very attracted to, and there’s that interest there,” she told him. “But until I have more clarity, I don’t even want to really invest in this relationship. So if you sense that I am holding back with you, I am.”
While Colton was the last to receive a rose, he ultimately walked away with one. However, the former NFL star looks like he’s in for another stressful week as next week’s preview showed Tia popping up during the group date! #Messy
