In J. Randy Taraborrelli’s book Becoming Beyoncé, the writer revealed that the duo secretly “split for a year” ahead of their marriage in 2008. Their break happened around the same time that Jay was rumored to be dating his artist Rihanna, the book details.
But even though the tell-all reveals that the cheating rumors were a simple PR stunt to increase interest in Rihanna’s during her career’s early stages, Bey was still suspicious of the pair once she reconciled with Jay Z!
