Brian Williams appeared to be in a great mood as he walked his daughter Allison William’s dog in New York City on Tuesday. And the disgraced journalist was joined by his wife, Jane Stoddard Williams, and Allison as he made his relaxing stroll around the city.

Williams’ outing was a very rare public appearance for the NBC anchor after he revealed back in February that he lied about being on a helicopter that was shot down during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Williams admitted to his Nightly News audience on Feb. 4 that he made “a mistake in recalling the events of 12 years ago,” leading to a major backlash against the newsman and a six-month suspension from the network.

His appearance on Tuesday has many speculating that he may be prepping to step back into the spotlight following the scandal. However, NBC has yet to announce if Williams will be officially returning to his seat at the Nightly News desk.
