‘Counting On’ Star Joy-Anna Duggar Is Pregnant With Baby Number Two!
Joy-Anna Duggar is pregnant! The Counting On star is expecting baby number two with husband Austin Forsyth.
In an exclusive statement to Us Weekly on Wednesday, May 1, Joy, 21, and Austin, 25, said, “Our favorite math is addition and we are very excited to share that the Forsyth family is adding a member! Marriage and being a mom and dad to Gideon has already far exceeded our expectations. We are looking forward to loving another little one and seeing what special dynamic he or she brings to our family. Table for 4 sounds perfect!”
The happy couple also shared the news — and their baby's due date — via their Instagram. In the photos posted, Austin carries Joy on his back as she holds up their child's sonogram photo. "Some of you have guessed, some of you had no clue... November, 2019 Baby Forsyth #2 is Due!!??❤️ Cannot wait to meet this new little one! Gideon is going to be such a great big brother!! #baby2due #babyforsyth #pregnant," they wrote in the caption.
Fans have been suspecting Joy is pregnant for some time. When she and Austin went on a couple’s retreat in February, followers guessed a baby announcement would be right around the corner — and they weren’t wrong! “Baby #2 in the making???” a follower commented at the time.
Then in March, Joy shared a photo of herself in a new dress and fans discovered it was a maternity dress. “Dress is part of the maternity line. Definately sic pregnant,” a fan said.
By early April, fans were convinced Joy was pregnant after they thought they spotted a baby bump on her Instagram story. “Joy is definitely pregnant again…” a fan on Reddit said. One fan even guessed she was about “15 weeks.”
The little one will join Joy and Austin’s baby boy Gideon, who recently celebrated his first birthday. At his birthday party, the parents were open about wanting another baby, especially a girl!
Joy isn’t the only pregnant Duggar. Her sister Jessa is expecting her third child in June, Joseph and his wife Kendra are expecting their second child, and Josh and Anna recently announced baby number six is due “this fall.” Plus, even their cousin Amy is pregnant!
This will be the 17th grandchild for Joy's famous parents Jim Bob and Michelle. They congratulated Joy and Austin via their website, writing, "The Bible is right, there is no greater JOY than seeing your children walk in truth. We have loved watching Austin and Joy build their lives together as a married couple and as parents. Their love for God, each other, Gideon, and others is genuine and inspiring. We could not be more thankful as we watch their lives unfold day by day. A new baby will bring even more joy and blessings to their lives and ours. We are on cloud nine that another grandbaby will make a debut in 2019!”
