1.) Reeva Steenkamp's mother watched the proceedings for only the second time today—she was on hand the first day of the trial—but walked out halfway through. June Steenkamp left the court room to avoid seeing graphic crime scene photos and really, can you blame her? She has said that on that first day, she hoped Pistorius would look her in the eye, but he did not. Today however, was different. Apparently, Pistorius walked by her and said, "Good Morning, ma'am" which was met with a nod from Mrs. Steenkamp.

2.) Sean Rens, a Firearm Service Provider, was called to the stand to discuss his sale of several firearms to Pistorius. When asked if he knew of Pistorius' interest in firearms, Rens replied, "There were many. He had a great love for firearms."

3.) The next witness called to the stand was Police Photographer, Officer Van Staden. There was a discrepancy about how many photos were taken, but it's interesting to note that according to the photos, blood was found on the duvet cover in the bedroom and the wall above a bedside table. These stains are not consistent with Pistorius' story. Cross examination by the defense was cut short as court was adjourned for the day.
