Demi Lovato Speaks Out For The First Time Since Her Overdose

Demi Lovato has opened up for the first time since her shocking overdose late last month.

She was found unconscious at her Los Angeles home on July 24th. Paramedics administered Narcan, which is used to reverse opioids, and then transported her to a medical center. She was reported in stable condition following the very scary incident.

The "Cool for the Summer" singer has received a ton of support from celebrities and friends, such as Selena Gomez and Keith Urban, as well as her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama who has visited her twice in the hospital in the past couple of weeks.

Now Demi has finally opened up on her Instagram page, where she talked about how transparent she's been regarding her journey with addiction, her gratitude towards her friends, family and more, and what the future holds for her on the path to recovery.

“I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.”
