Destruction Hits Arkansas After Series of Deadly Tornadoes

A series of destructive tornadoes touched down in Arkansas, Kansas, Iowa, and Missouri, tragically killing 18 people over the night. According to NBC, the horrific destruction, which started a little after 7 p.m. last night, spans a length of 100 miles in Arkansas alone, leaving homes, cars, and establishments, and school buildings completely destroyed.

While many local churches and organizations have started accepting help, President Obama issued a statement, calling the federal government to help in the aftermath.

The Red Cross of Arkansas has stepped in, providing needs for the shelters currently open for those affected by the natural disaster.

The Weather Channel still reports a danger of possible tornadoes, with some areas under severe alerts. Be on the look out on for ways you can donate to the Red Cross to help those suffering from the tornadoes.
