Josh & Anna Duggar Are Expecting Their Sixth Child: ‘We Couldn’t Be Happier’
Josh and Anna Duggar are adding another baby to the mix! The former 19 Kids and Counting stars have announced that they are expecting their sixth child.
“We couldn’t be happier to share with the world that our family is growing by one this fall,” they told Us Weekly. “We continually stand amazed by God’s love, redemption, grace and blessings in our lives. Our entire little family is ecstatic!”
The couple also shared the news with a sweet video on Instagram. In the clip, four of the couple’s five children, Mackynzie, 9, Michael, 7, Marcus, 5, Meredith, 3, and Mason, 19 months, arrange letters on the floor. They ultimately spell out, “New baby coming this fall.”
Anna, 30, and Josh, 31, captioned the video, “We are so excited to announce that we are expecting a new little one! As we watch our children grow and thrive — we look forward to baby six joining us this fall! #littleduggars.”
Josh’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle reacted to the news on their family blog, writing, “We are so happy for Josh & Anna, expecting their 6th child and our 16th grandchild! Each child is a blessing from God! Anna is one of the most amazing women in the world.”
It’s been a busy few months for the Duggars and baby announcements. Jessa Duggar is pregnant with her third child, and Joseph and his wife Kendra are expecting baby number two. Even Duggar cousin Amy announced she is pregnant with her first child!
The baby is happy news for Anna and Josh, who have weathered a lot over the course of their 11 year marriage. In 2015, it was revealed Josh had molested his own sisters, and he later admitted to cheating on his wife after being caught with two active accounts on the infidelity website Ashley Madison.
Despite the scandal, their relationship persevered and they welcomed son Mason in September 2017.
Anna previously hinted at a pregnancy in early April. When a fan on Instagram asked if she had “any plans for any more children,” Anna replied cryptically, “We would love more children and we are enjoying the little ones God has given us! Each day is such a gift.”
