Josiah’s Ex-Girlfriend Has Written A Book & She's Not Holding Back About Their Split

Is someone still mad things didn’t work out?

Two years after her split from Josiah Duggar, following the exposure of his older brother Josh’s molestation scandal, Marjorie Jackson has published a book, Devoted, and it really seems like she’s indirectly, but directly, talking about Josh Duggar’s “moral failures.”

In her new book, the 19-year-old slams promiscuity and porn, which ironically are the exact sins Josh confessed to engaging in, back in 2015, when he confessed to cheating on his wife, Anna.

“Where promiscuousness once would have been the hush-hush elephant in the room, it now seems that purity sticks out loudly more than ever in a world where anything and everything goes,” she explained. “How do we handle relationships? What kinds of movies, music, websites, jokes, and conversations do we allow and engage in? Is our dress suggestive and provocative, or modest and proper for a girl professing to have Jesus in her heart?”

While Marjorie doesn’t call Josh by name, she does mention God’s ability to know everything – even what we do online – which can be seen as a dig to the former 19 Kids & Counting Star as he admitted to using cheating websites and secret social media accounts to cheat on his wife.

“Those words we text, e-mail, write and post on social media…God sees it all,” she wrote. “He sees the comments we leave on posts. He reads the texts we send to that friend, to that guy. Jesus never excluded any of our methods of communication, on or out of cyberspace.”

The Christian blogger also writes about the act of lying, saying that it is never okay, as people will find it hard to look at you as more than a liar. Again, this can easily be related to Josh and his sex scandal, as he is still dealing with the repercussions of his lies.

“People who lie often will never be trusted, even when they’re telling the truth. They’ve become a serial liar,” she wrote. “Why would anyone who knows their record of lying believe them?”

Marjorie even spoke on courtships, as she tells her readers, when dating or courting, girls should be “picky,” and turn to their dads to keep out the bad apples.

“Have standards for whom you will allow to pursue you, and be sure to screen each potential suitor through your dad or anything trusted Christian spiritual leader first!” she wrote. “That will help weed out the creepers and determine character.” (A possible jab at her past situation with Josiah, maybe?)

And while she seemed to be beating around the bush, when talking about lies, and, impurity, the teen expert certainly seemed to refer to Josh directly when she referred to “moral failure.”

“It is devastating to see someone whose life was going to well suddenly crash and burn in moral failure,” she wrote. “Thankfully, it doesn’t need to be this way.” She blames “secrecy” in the “heart” for leading to sin.

As OK! readers know, Josiah announced his new courtship with Marjorie in April 2015.

However, just one month later, an uncovered police report revealed that Josh had been accused of molesting five minor females in his family’s home as a young teen.

Shortly after the news, Josiah and Marjorie confirmed their split; fueling rumors that Marjorie may have ended their courtship because of Josh’s sex scandal.
