Julianne Hough Immediately Plans to Start A Family With Husband Brooks Laich

It's babies, babies, babies on the brain for professional dancer Julianne Hough and her husband Brooks Laich, as sources have revealed to OK! that the couple are on the fast track to parenthood.

Her health problems, however, could cause the couple to go another route if she isn’t able to actually get pregnant. “Since being diagnosed with endometriosis, Julianne has known it could be a struggle to conceive naturally,” the source said. “Brooks has been there for her through her ups and downs, and they’ve finally concluded that opening their home to a child in need may be the perfect route.”

Looks like taking the alternative route is already in the works, as the source said that “Word is they’ve already gotten the ball rolling with the adoption process and are positively giddy. They can’t wait to be a family.”

Julianne was “privately stressing that she might not be able to conceive” even before their July 2017 wedding due to her battle with endometriosis. She first spoke about her condition back in 2008, when after being admitted to the hospital with several abdominal pain, an ultrasound showed massive amounts of scar tissue outside her uterus and she learned that the disorder could leave her infertile if left untreated. “I know more than anything I want to be a mom and have kids,” she said during that time. “That’s so important to me.”

She has since undergone a series of treatments, including two surgeries, so being able to conceive naturally is a possibility. However, due to the risks of her condition, which includes miscarriage, she’s keeping her other options open, such as adoption.

Brooks has stuck by her unconditionally, as the couple knew adoption could fulfill their parenting dreams regardless of Julianne’s condition. So, where are they looking to adopt if that is the route they will take? “They both said Africa,” said the insider. They are both very fond of the continent and its people, so much so that they visited a local orphanage during their Kenyan honeymoon! “The children there completely captured their hearts, especially a gorgeous little girl,” said an insider. “When they got home, they began looking into what it would take to become parents of an African baby.”

Their plans to have a baby have already started with a shift in their living space. A source revealed that Julianne has already started decorating a nursery in her home! “It’s been keeping her spirits up and helping her stay positive,” says the source. “When their baby arrives—however he or she gets there—everything will be absolutely perfect.”
