Good Sport! Justin Bieber Raps Ex Selena Gomez's Name In Drake's New 'Popstar' Music Video — Watch

The Biebs is back! Justin Bieber took over for Drake in his new music video, ‘Popstar,’ which premiered on Friday, September 4, and also featured DJ Khaled. In the video, the 26-year-old was a good sport and rapped along to his ex Selena Gomez’s name in one of the lyrics. The ‘Yummy’ singer mouthed along to the lyrics, saying, “Look, Ariana, Selena, my Visa.”

The eight-minute video starts out with Khaled, 44, trying to pressure Drake, 33, to make a music video for their bop. “Dre, I know the borders are closed, I know they won’t let me in the country, what do you want me to do? This song is too big, we have to shoot the video, we have to figure something out,” he said.

However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the ‘Toosie Slide’ rapper was stressed out. “Khaled, this guy is off his rocker,” he said. “I don’t know what to say. It’s every waking moment that I’m alive. It’s like you give someone everything you have, and they’re just like, ‘Another one, Another one, another one. I need, I need, I need every five seconds on my phone asking me for something,' and it’s like, I already gave him the songs, and now he wants a video and I can’t do a video. I can’t even make my own album in peace. I can’t even leave the country and this guy wants him to do a video for him.”

Luckily, Drake found a solution and “called in a favor” to Bieber, who then took over the video for him. Fast forward, and the Grammy winner is spotted waking up in a mansion with champagne in his hand as he sees the aftermath from the night before. Later on, the Drew House cofounder sported a few colorful outfits while partying and hanging out with other women when his manager, Scooter Braun, walked in and joined in on the fun.

At the end of the song, Bieber woke up in bed next to his wife, Hailey Baldwin, whom he married in 2018. “I had a crazy dream. Drake asked me to be in his video,” he said. “He wasn’t in the video. It was just a bunch of people. I love you, baby. Let’s go walk the dog.” As the pair handled their pet, Bieber got a call from Drake and immediately looked confused.

Of course, fans couldn’t get enough of Bieber taking over for Drake. One person wrote, “All of Drake’s music videos should just be Justin Bieber,” while another echoed, “JUSTIN BIEBER IS A DAMN LEGEND.” A third user added, “POPSTAR MUSIC VIDEO IS SO FAR ONE OF THE BEST THINGS THAT HAPPENED IN 2020.”

Gomez, 28, and Bieber dated on and off for eight years, and the former flames finally called it quits for good in 2018. “In my previous relationship, I went off and just went crazy and went wild, just was being reckless,” the pop star told Zane Lowe in February about how their relationship was full of ups and downs.

Ultimately, Bieber found love with Baldwin, 23, and it seems like they’re happier than ever. “This time, I took the time to really build myself and focus on me, and try to make the right decisions and all that sort of stuff. And yeah, I got better,” he said.

For Gomez’s part, the ‘Dance Again’ songstress is currently keeping busy with her new HBO Max show, Selena + Chef, in addition to launching her new makeup line, Rare Beauty.

Now, can Drake and Bieber star in a music video together next time, please?
